Mr. Kevin Dyke teaches in Room 1, Accelerate academy. He is an awesome teacher (most of the time haha kidding [ : ) He is the Numeracy Leader for the school, He is in Bosson house. He makes sure we are always on task. He has a sustained daily routine that we follow. We start the day with fitness straight away. Then its back to class for roll call. Mr. Dyke doesn't call the roll. He lets a student do it everyday. He also lets a student or 2 call "What's on today" (which is our programme for the day) and Te Karere. In 1st period we have maths. Always. Wa Wa Wa :( Then is interval, and after interval straight away, SSR (Sustained Silent Reading). We read for about 30mins tops. Then we usually do Literacy. Which contains word study and reading comprehension. Some days Mr. Dyke will go over a school value activity. After lunch, students will take turns in reading a class story. Right now the book is "The Hobbit" by J.R Tolkien. Then we focus on our topic study, which is Earth Science for this term. Mr. Dyke always makes sure the students in our class are on task and focused. He has a sense of humor and has confusing, brain-racking riddles for us. He gives us lots of homework. Which people like Eleanor always finish (cough cough : ) Mr. Dyke has a stress apple on his desk. He is a computer techy dude. He looks after everybody. He makes sure everyone knows how to turn on a computer.
